WORKOUT ANYTIME has given 180 veterans free memberships, but hopes to sign up even more
This year, WORKOUT ANYTIME is partnering with Lift for the 22 to offer free gym memberships to veterans. The Newark Advocate spoke with Heath owner David Flanagan and WORKOUT ANYTIME COO Mark de Gorter about the partnership and how veterans in Heath can take part.
According to the article, WORKOUT ANYTIME currently has around 180 veterans using the free memberships, but the brand hopes to sign up even more in the next few weeks.
Said de Gorter, "The purpose of the organization is designed to serve as a transitional organization for veterans returning from duty. We’re just really proud to be a part of the group."
The story also mentions how trainers at the Heath location will help new veterans get up to speed on the equipment and facilitate meeting other veterans that are members.
Said Flanagan, "It's like anything. We're not gonna change it overnight, but a little bit helps and goes a long way. And if we can just make an impact on just one person, that’s a life saved."
